Federation of Organizations is seeking a Full-Time Substance Abuse Specialist to join the Mobile Substance Use Disorder Team in Copiague, NY
REPORTS TO: Project Director
DEPARTMENT: Clinical Services
PAY: $50k Annually

QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) of Credentialed Alcohol or Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). A valid and clean NY State driver license. Minimum 1 years of experience in a treatment or rehabilitation setting. Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from NYS Office of Mental Health/Office of Addiction Services and Supports.
JOB FUNCTION:
Provide direct services with a focus on substance abuse recovery and harm reduction on a mobile, multi-disciplinary treatment team for persons with substance use diagnoses who identify as members of the LGBTQA+ Community. Provide counseling, restorative services, and crisis intervention and assist clients in coordination of care to avoid hospitalizations and unnecessary care.
