Federation of Organizations is looking for a Dual Recovery Specialist/Support Supervisor to join our team! This position will provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, linkage to outside agencies for those in a licensed residential program, and more. The Dual Recovery Specialist will assist the Program Supervisor in initial and ongoing training of all staff and will play a significant role in the success of our team!

QUALIFICATIONS:
- CASAC or Master’s Degree in Human Services
- Minimum 3 years experience working with dual diagnosed population
- A valid and clean NY State driver license
- Fingerprinting, criminal record check
- Approval from the Justice Center and NYS Office of Mental Health
- Knowledge of residential services, substance abuse, medical diagnoses, and evidence-based practices
- Effecting interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of community resources
CORE & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITY:
- Facilitate weekly individual and group sessions with residents who would benefit from supportive services regarding dual diagnosis
- Complete necessary referrals and follow-up to off-site providers/programs each week
- Develop and oversee in-house support systems for residents including NA, AA, medical supports, etc., on a monthly basis
- Collaborate with outside providers, family members/friends of residents as needed each month
- Provide oversight of the Health office including health office activities and medication management services as well as supervision and training of Health Office staff at least twice per month in the absence of the program’s Nurse
- Participates in on-call emergency back-up rotation and provides crisis intervention assistance when needed
- Assist Program Supervisor in initial and ongoing training of all staff each month
- Remain current on changing developments in individual field of expertise and licensing credentials.
- Perform all other job duties as assigned
- Responsible for proficiency in all agency based IT applications
SALARY: $45,000.00 per year
