REPORTS TO: Accounts Receivable and Billing Supervisor
HOURS: 35 hours per week
High School Diploma, 1 year experience of Medical billing.Basic bookkeeping preferred. Experience with medicalcoding.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Medicare/Medicaid/Medicaid Managed Care billing and reconciliation through to the general ledger.
A. Process and maintain all client medical billing records.
B. Reconcile and prove all remittances through to the general ledger.
C. Review accuracy of client financial information received and prepare invoices for private pay clients.
D. Act as liaison for the Account Receivable Department with assigned programs.
E. Comply with agency Compliance Plan and False Claims Policy by preventing, detecting and reporting any potential healthcare abuse and fraud. Report any potential non-compliance and comply with all other federal, state and local regulations applicable to this job description.
F. Utilize all agency based IT applications pertaining to this job description in a proficient manner.
G. Remain current on changing developments in individual field of expertise.
H. Perform all other duties assigned
