Gregory R. Durso
Gregory R. Durso is an inspiring advocate for anyone living with a disability. Paralyzed by a sledding accident five years ago, Mr. Durso persevered, embarking on a new athletic path in wheelchair racing. He has competed in a number of races including two Olympic distance triathlons, the 2011 Boston Marathon and the 2014 Long Island Marathon, which he completed in less than two-and-a-half hours. Since joining Federation’s Board in October 2013, Mr. Durso has been successfully leading by example – maintaining a “fulfilling, fun, productive and rewarding life” – while encouraging others with a disability to do the same. When he’s not educating and inspiring, Mr. Durso works as a Senior Credit Analyst at Empire National Bank where he is responsible for managing a $4 million portfolio with 61 accounts. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree (Economics) from the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University.
