Supported Employment Program

Federation offers a Supported Employment Program for individuals recovering from mental illness who are ready to engage in meaningful work. Whether returning to work or just entering the work force, we offer a variety of placement sites and programs, each of which focus on the individual's skills and strengths.

Job placement may include:
•    Advocacy
•    Outreach
•    Recreational activities
•    Individual counseling
•    Linkage to resources
•    Working with entitlements

Benefits:
•    Receive on-the-job training in a supported environment
•    Peer support and self-help are a primary focus. Peer support groups are available to address work-related issues and concerns
•    A rehabilitation counselor is available to set individualized work goals
•    Benefits counseling
•    Build self esteem
•    Competitive wages

Applicants must be:
•    Motivated
•    Willing to provide peer support
•    Interested in establishing work-related goals
•    Able to act as a team player
•    Willing to assist other people with mental illness through their recovery
•    Able to get to and from the work site independently
