Outreach

Federation of Organizations' outreach programs assist over 1500 individuals per year. All outreach programs are 100% staffed by peer workers. Peer workers share their experiences and methods of recovery to those individuals who are beginning their journey of recovery.

Hospital Based Outreach

Through hospital based outreach, peer advocates run groups to train participants on community integration using the psychiatric rehabilitation model. They offer peer support, education about community resources, discuss Federation's services and wellness self management. Peer advocates work out of various hospitals in Suffolk and Queens Counties.
