Residential Services Nassau
Federation of Organizations’ Residential Service programs provide a continuum of housing services for individuals who are recovering from mental illness. Emphasis is placed on peer support and self-help to assist residents in becoming independent. Professional staff and volunteers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide supervision and support.
In Nassau County, Federation offers community residences, intensive supportive apartments and supportive housing.
Community Residences
Federation offers one community residence program in Massapequa for clients aged 18+, and another in Glen Head for clients aged 50+. The residences are staffed 24 hours per day by trained staff.
Intensive Supportive Apartments
Our Apartment Treatment Program is designed for clients not needing the 24-hour supervision of a community residence, but still needing frequent staff contact. Clients are visited seven times per week by Federation staff. Staff is available after hours for clients facing emergencies.
Supported Housing
Federation of Organizations offers several supported housing programs in Suffolk, Nassau and Queens Counties, including programs dedicated to clients who are mentally ill and homeless. Clients in the Supported Housing Program pay 30% of their income towards rent and utilities and are visited by staff one to four times per month.
