Hauppauge

Work in a fast-paced mental health case management administrative office performing duties in a Single Point of Access unit.

Case Management Specialist -- Part-Time
Elmhurst

Assist people in recovery from mental illness with accessing supports and services that will meet their individual needs. Help these individuals to achieve their maximum level of functioning and independence in the least restrictive environment of their choice.

Qualifications: Personal experience in the mental health system. Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from the New York State Office of Mental Health.


Counselors -- Full-Time
Massapequa and Glen Cove

Provide supportive counseling, restorative services, ADL training and crisis intervention to people with psychiatric disabilities in a licensed residential program. 

Qualifications: High school diploma and at least one year of experience working in a mental health setting. BA in human services and some experience with persons with psychiatric disabilities preferred. Clean, valid driver's license. Fingerpringting, criminal record check, approval from the New York State Office of Mental Health.


Evening Drop-In Supervisor- Part-time
West Babylon/Patchogue

Responsible for the operation of the evening drop-in programs including development of activities, supervision and training of staff, organization and completion of documentation, and crisis intervention. Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the center

Qualifications: BA or equivalent experience in mental health. Supervisory experience preferred. Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from the New York State Office of Mental Health. Clean, valid driver’s license.


Fee-For-Service LCSW -- Part-Time
Brooklyn

Provide direct clinical care to residents of the Brooklyn Adult Care Center on a fee-for-service basis.

Qualifications: LCSW required. At least one year of experience in a clinical setting. Experience conducting group and individual therapy. Experience providing family psycho-education and/or other family support services. Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from the New York State Office of Mental Health.


Recreation Specialist -- Part-Time
Brentwood

Provide positive role model of community functioning, informal counseling and peer supports to others with psychiatric abilities currently living in residential programs.

Qualifications: Personal experience with mental health and/or substance abuse issues. Mastery of ADL skills. Ability and desire to assist others in developing mastery of independent living skills. Understanding of peer support self-help philosophy. Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from the New York State Office of Mental Health.


Rehabilitation Counselor
West Babylon

Act as a guide to coach or help people in recovery from mental illness who are served by the PROS program to follow their own path to recovery. Provide information, training and hands-on assistance in skills building to individual members and groups. Provide peer support to members of the program. Complete required documentation and comply with program regulations.

Qualifications: BA or high school diploma with experience working in mental health. Clean, valid driver's license. Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from the New York State Office of Mental Health.


Relief Counselors, Residential -- Part Time/Per Diem
Glen Cove Community Residence, Massapequa Community Residence and Irving Berkowitz Residence

This on-call position requires an individual to provide supportive counseling, restorative services, ADL Training and crisis intervention to people with psychiatric disabilities in a licensed residential program. Will monitor medication for clients, assist residents in procuring financial entitlements, make daily visits to residents in the apartments and provide 24-hour supervision to residents in congregate facilities.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in human services and some experience with persons with psychiatric disabilities or high school diploma and one year working in a mental health setting. Clean, valid driver's license required. Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from the New York State Office of Mental Health.


Senior Supportive Case Manager
Sanford Home For Adults and New Brookhaven Townhouse

Provide supervision, crisis intervention, advocacy, support, access to and coordination of services to people in recovery from mental illness, allowing them to live in the community in the least restrictive environment of their choice and help develop skills to achieve individual life goals.

Qualifications: Master's degree in human services or a related field and four years' experience working with people wiht mental illness. Clean, valid driver's license.


Substance Abuse Specialist
Patchogue

Assists members of the PROS Program to recover from both mental illness and substance abuse by providing dual-recovery treatment and education for both members and their families using evidence-based practices. Provides information and expertise on dual recovery treatment to other members of the PROS staff. Complies with program regulations and completes program documentation.

Qualifications: CASAC. At least one year of training and/or experience in integrated mental health and substance abuse assessment and treatment. Clean, valid New York State driver's license. Fingerprinting, criminal record check and approval from the New York State Office of Mental Health.


Supportive Case Manager -- Floater
New York City Adult Home Locations

Assist people in recovery from mental illness with accessing supports and services that  will meet their individual needs and assist them to achiecve their maximum level of functioning and independence in the least restrictive environment of their choice.

Qualifications: Two years of case management experience with people with mental illness or the homeless OR bachelor's or master's degree OR one year of case management experience and one year of experience working with people with mental illness. Clean, valid driver's license. Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from the New York State Office of Mental Health.
