Residential Services

 

 

     The Federation of Organizations Residential Services program is designated to provide a continuum of housing services for individuals who are recovering from Mental Illness.  Emphasis is placed on peer support and self-help to assist residents in becoming independent.

     Professional staff and volunteers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide training, supervision and support.

 

 

Housing Programs

 

Community Residence -

     We offer two community residence programs, one in Massapequa for clients 18+, and another in Glen Cove for clients 50+.  The community residence are staffed 24 hours per day by Federation trained staff.

 

 

Intensive Supportive Apartment - Nassau County

     Our Apartment Treatment Program is designed for clients not needing the 24-hour supervision of a community residence bit still needing frequent staff contact.  Clients are visited 7 times per week by Federation staff.  Staff is available after hours to clients facing emergencies.

 

 

Supported Housing -

     The Federation of Organizations offers several supported housing programs in Nassau, Queens, and Suffolk Counties, including several programs dedicated to clients who are mentally ill and homeless.  Clients in the Supported Housing Program pay 30% of their income towards rent and utilities and are visited by staff 1-4 times per month.

 

 

Residential Respite -

     We have a 21 day respite program for clients in Suffolk County who are in need of a temporary housing crisis, or are in the transition from hospital to community based housing program.

 

 

Federation of Organization operates a total of 230 beds in Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties.
