Qualifications: High School Diploma and at least 3 years experience in mental health. BA in Human Services and 1 year experience preferred. Clean valid Driver’s License. Case Management Specialist- Full- time and Part-time Brookhaven (FT & PT) and Brooklyn (FT) Assist people in recovery from mental illness with accessing supports and services that will meet their individual needs. Assist these individuals to achieve their maximum level of functioning and independence in the least restrictive environment of their choice. Qualifications: Personal experience in the Mental Health Systems. Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from NYS Office of Mental Health. Clean, valid Driver’s License.
Rehabilitative Associates Brentwood Provide supportive counseling, restorative services, ADL Training, and crisis intervention to people with psychiatric disabilities in a licensed residential program. Qualifications: BA in Human Services OR Two years experience working with persons with psychiatric disabilities. Clean, valid Drivers License. Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from NYS Office of Mental Health.
Relief Counselors, Residential- Part-time/per diem Glen Cove CR, Massapequa CR and IBR This on-call position requires an individual to provide supportive counseling, restorative services, ADL Training, and crisis intervention to people with psychiatric disabilities in a licensed residential program. Will monitor medication for clients, assist residents in procuring financial entitlements, and make daily visits to residents in the apartments and provide 24-hour supervision to residents in congregate facilities. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Human Services and some experience with persons with psychiatric disabilities or HS Diploma and 1 year working in a mental health setting. Assistant Case Managers- Part-time Suffolk County Assist Case Managers by providing selected services to SCM/ICM clients Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent, NY State driver’s license. Registered, inspected, and insured vehicle, and personal experience with mental health system. Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from NYS Office of Mental Health
Peer Counselor- Part-time Glen Cove Provide positive role model of community functioning, informal counseling and peer supports to others with psychiatric abilities currently living in residential programs. Qualifications: Some experience living in a community residence program for people with psychiatric disabilities or in independent living. Ability and desire to assist others in their mastery of independent living skills and an understanding of peer support self-help philosophy. Clean valid Driver License.
