The Foster Grandparent Program

Sponsored by the Federation of Organizations

The Foster Grandparent Program affords income eligible seniors

the opportunity to assist children in schools and day care centers

throughout Suffolk County. The program offers friendship and

socialization for seniors and the satisfaction of knowing

that they are contributing to a child’s well being.

Benefits:

·   Volunteer at nearby schools and day centers

·   Monthly in-service trainings provided

·   Receive a tax-free stipend

Requirements:

·   Seniors 60+

·   Income eligible

·   Good health

·   Motivated, enthusiastic

·    A desire to work with children
